The hotel was remote but very nice, with cows walking on the backyard and deers. Really nice view in the mornings with mist around the trees. The whole area felt like it was connected with the hotel, good food in the restaurant.

Nice room, plenty of storage space, bed was very comfortable, it was very clean, we shared a shower room but this was not a problem, we never had to wait to use it, the shower was very clean and a good spray . Stefan the owner made us feel very welcome, he made us food even though we arrived quite late, the food was very good and good size portions. In the morning we had a very nice breakfast, Stefan even made us a packed lunch each for our journey on motorcycles to Germany. We would highly recommend staying here, with everywhere in Switzerland being very expensive to stay, this hotel gives you more value for your money. Stefan is really nice guy who you can have a talk with, he is motorcycle friendly, parking is very safe, we would definitely stay there again. Thanks Stefan ❤️

The host was exceptionally accommodating and went out of their way to be helpful, showing a warm and friendly nature throughout my stay. They were attentive to any needs that came up and made sure everything was comfortable and convenient. We loved the location, perfect for us to visit family in a nearby village, car required but absolutely stunning views. Property was clean, spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. Kids loved the Duplo box and all the ride on tractors and play kitchen. Loved the extra touches with some local goodies to taste. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to go again!

This was probably our best stay in Switzerland. Although the hotel looks fairly old on the outside, the rooms are renovated and stylishly furnished. You’d think that a hotel with a road on one side and a railway on the other would be noisy, but it was quite the opposite! The only sound present was the bleating of sheep in the distance, which only adds to the atmosphere. The breakfast didn’t have a big variety of different foods, but it was still very delicious! You also get free orange juice served to your table, which was great. And what is probably the best part - how nice our host was. From check-in to check-out, we were always greeted with a smile and given any and all help that we needed. It’s not often that you meet such warm, friendly and energetic people in the world of hospitality. Thank you, Daria!

    We found Eggiwil village very nice and the residents were...

    We found Eggiwil village very nice and the residents were very friendly and respectful. We were in Mr. Alexander hotel for one night but have lots of good memories. At end he gave us two pockets of homemade spaghetti. Thanks for all he did for us. When we arrive to home one day later we found that my one son brings a towel of hotel mistacally. If we visit again Eggiwil will give it back, if not we hope Alex porden us.
