This is a great hotel to get away from the hubbub of everyday life. Excellent views, choice of walks, close to the cog train to Mt Rigi as well as the ferry service. Ronnie and Bruno, both of whom run the in-house restaurant, are friendly, charming and entertaining. Both speak English well. Fully recommended.Guest review byPierreMalta

Lucas too was friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated on Lake Lucerne. I stayed at the hotel with my parents when I was 9 years old in 1968. The hotel has a perfect setting. The lake and the surrounding mountains are stunning. Our room had a lake view and was comfortable. We had a large balcony with a lake view. Breakfast was excellent. A memorable experience to be staying up high, if you want to try something different from a hotel in a town etc. It is easily reached by either of two cable cars, and once you are up there are great walks to explore Mt Rigi.
