Everything about our stay was amazing. The accommodation had everything we needed, with a comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen (including coffee machine), great shower and a cozy lounge. But the location was amazing, up in the hills away from everything in the fresh air. I loved seeing all the animals and sitting outside and just enjoying the peace and sounds of nature. We caught the bus and walked up the road (requires a bit of fitness) which was fine because the Swiss transport system is fabulous. Isabelle was a fantastic host, friendly and available if we had any questions. We would love to stay again.

It is a perfect option to have a relaxing time in Switzerland. Location is one of “must see” in the county - right in front of your balcony! I love the atmosphere of the place- it is indeed a treasure. Apartment is very modern perfectly located - we spend a wonderful after- Christmas time with family. Helen's property was absolutely amazing. We had such a wonderful stay. The view from the room was unbelievable. It was such a peaceful area in Iseltwald. Helen was absolutely wonderful and welcomed us with open arms, which made the expeirnce ever greater. She also left us some welcome chocolates in the room which was an amazing touch to the entire experience. the bed was big enough and very comfortable, the room was big and the bonus was the kitchen which had all the cooking essentials needed. We would definitely stay here again and again on every visit.

Amazing view of the lake and very close to the port, grocery and bus station. A free-enrty strandbad is just a few minutes walk. The kitchen has basic equipment for cooking. The washing machine and dryer are in the basement. The staff are great and very helpful. Choose the apartment on the 1st floor which has a balcony.

Beautiful little town.

Beautiful little town. Lake brienz cruise is the perfect start to the trip. Can't visit the waterfalls around the lake or just walk along the promenade. We were lucky to be there on 1 August - swiss national day. Got to see fireworks at the lake. Beautiful sight at night!

A tiny village in the centre of Switzerland. The place full of flowers, gorgeous gardens, happy people living there. One can even feel the calmness which fills every nook, every street or path of this place. Go there, don't rush yourself (what for?) and relax taking a stroll. Grab a cup of coffee and let your eyes smile, and your soul cry just because you have so little time to immerse yourself in such beauty.

Very nice small city next to lake and perfect views of mountains, you can rent boat or other stuff and swim in the lake, you can take wonderful pictures of the lake and mountains around, easy and very nice to go Interlaken or other places around the lake by Ferry.

Iseltwald is a lovely plce for you to stay if you are senior...

Iseltwald is a lovely plce for you to stay if you are senior citizens and happy to make your own sandwiches. It is quiet and fabulous if you like drinking your whiskey in the balcony looking at the lake and surrounding mountains in a quiet atmostphere.It is blessed with exceptional views . There are some restaurants around but not so great in terms of the quality of food . The only shop/post office closes at 5 pm. So it depends on what you are looking for.

Iseltwald is a quiet village but it is a really good base to travel to surrounding areas. The lake is extremely beautiful with the turquoise water and there are activities to do on the lake, eg, rowing, a ferry, etc. One needs a car to get around to other places of interest from Iseltwald but it is very central to get to Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Schilthorn, etc.

Iseltwald is a beautiful village and Bellevue has an amazing location right at the lake. It is just a few mins walk from the bus-stop and the ferry station. We took x 2 lake facing rooms with balcony for 2adults and 2kids (Kids loved it as it came with free netflix) The view is amazing and quite, away from all the city hustle bustle, one would look forward to waking up to that view. The breakfast had good spread compared to european standards. Staff and Service was also very good.

The location can not be beat - one of the most beautiful places on earth. Can highly recommend this central location for exploring the area - and the town of Iseltwald was a surprising highlight :) We appreciated the washing machine and dryer. For pretty much all places I have stayed at, I give 9/10 stars on booking.com - that was not possible here. Please read the below (coming from someone who doesn’t easily give bad reviews)

Everything was perfect- location, staff, facilities, breakfast. Our room has the best view! The staff were very nice and accomodating! They even prepared a very special breakfast for me and my husband on our last day there. I highly recommend Strandhotel, best hotel in Iseltwald! Just few steps away from the kdrama Crash Landing On You's landing stage! Hope to be back!

Hotel Chalet has the best location. The view outside the hotel was spectacular with Lake Brienz and tall mointain as the backdrop. The staff were siper friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was exceptional. If you want a relaxing get away, go to Iseltwald and stay in Hotel Chalet du Lac. It's a place to be.
