A luxurious hotel located near the center of the town of Spiez and overlooking Lake Thun and Spiez Castle. For car owners, the hotel has a large underground parking lot at a very reasonable cost of 12 francs for 24 hours, but you have to reserve the parking lot in advance. The hotel staff is very friendly and helped us a lot in planning our trip around the Thun and Brienz lakes. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and well equipped. The toilet and shower are separated, so two people can use them at the same time, which saves a lot of time. The breakfast is excellent and rich. The hotel has a heated pool and spa.

Amazing location , I was in a dream ... The room view was like an art . The staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant was really 👌 . Thank you to all Seegarten staff. In general, the weather was very cold and I think they should increase the room heater a little bit.

Comfortable rooms in a picturesque location, friendly staff and parking available in a lot across the street. They leave leftover baked goods from the cafe for the hotel guests to avoid food waste and it is delicious. Niece hotel with beautiful views of the city of Spiez. We enjoyed the hotel. There are different kinds of rooms. We stayed in the main building. One room with a balcony and view of the lake and one with a balcony and view of the mountains. Both rooms had high ceilings, natural light, comfy beds and pillows, and clean bathrooms. We liked our rooms: no air conditioning but no need for it. We just opened the windows, and plenty of airflows. The restaurants were good. The food was good, and the service was good—lots of attention to detail. We also enjoyed the spa. They have several saunas, one pool, and a giant whirlpool. But our favorite was the barrel sauna outside, which has a window to look out to the lake and the little town. To get to the private lake beach, you must walk several steps down and pass some houses. But it is worth it. We loved swimming in the lake. They have a shower and bathroom down at the lake. And the hotel provides you with beach bag essentials—plenty of spaces to relax and enjoy reading a book. We also rented electric bikes. They are excellent bikes. The front desk employees will suggest you good bike rides. We tried to rent the boat twice, but no luck. One time was due to the ship not having light, boats could not go out without a light after 5 pm, and the other was terrible weather. It was a bummer. But that didn't spoil our time at the hotel because we had plenty to enjoy. Arriving at the hotel. Suppose you don't have a car and are coming to Spiez by train. Call the hotel, and they will provide you with transportation. Either a taxi which they will pay for, or send a van. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

The studio was excellent! Amazingly clean and comfortable. It has a full equipped kitchen and bathroom, a five star bedroom and a cozy balcony. It is situated at a very convenient location - near a beautiful marina and castle with amazing views, minutes from train, bus station, and grocery store.

    The city is cozy, excellent location, from the station you can get to Interlaken in half an hour and to Lauterbrunnen in an hour. There is a good transport connection with Basel and Zurich. And also a panoramic train goes through Spiez. The castle is next to the ferry pier.

    Spiez is a hidden gem town, very very central just like interlaken. I find spiez less touristy, more cosy and quiet & very convenient to go for all sorts of day trips to most of Swiss. Spiez sits on a right spot where the lake and mountain backdrop makes it for a postcard perfect views.

    Spiez is a beautiful town and nicely situated on Lake Thun. It is less commercialized than Interlaken (which we liked) but is centrally located to take day trips to other locations. Interlaken was a 10 minute train ride from Spiez. The castle grounds are nice to check out and the lake itself is amazing.

    Spiez is very accessible by train - it is beautifully set on a bay on Lake Thun, with a good castle as a bonus feature. There are many local excursions and excellent walks available, including lake trips. Water sports and lake bathing are popular. Longer rail trips are possible to a number of destinations - Zermatt, Gstaad, Interlaken and Montreux. As small town, not too many shops or services, but probably enough to meet most needs. Similarly night life and bars mean a trip to nearby Interlaken - but good late train services make this possible.

    Myself and wife love the location of the apartment especially the balcony that facing the lake. The apartment is very close to the Spiez station and the only problem is the signage of the apartment is very small and printed on the window of the restaurant (We are struggling to locate it in the beginning). The restaurant's name should be mentioned. But once you find it, it is very easy to locate as it is on the main road. The apartment is one of the my best rated apartments from 4 apartments during my 11 nights stay in Switzerland.

    Definitely my favorite hotel during the whole vacation in Switzerland!! The facilities in the room are so great and the restaurant in the hotel is amazing.
