Chaitén a lovely little town.
Chaitén a lovely little town. Its volcanic history is awe inspiring. Really interesting. Lots of places closed though, and it’s summer!! Seems a bit like a ghost town at weekends. Even though we were the only guests, Vanessa waited up for us and welcomed us with a smile. Considering there are no other hotels open anywhere near – we are extremely grateful for her kindness. The room is extremely comfortable with an ensuite and luxurious beds and bedding. He went above and beyond to make us feel at home, this property has been made with love and you can tell on every detail. They keep the place very clean, their beds are comfortable, their breakfast ia superb, and they are walking distance to many shops around town and the Costanera (the coastline). The hotel has a great -almost Alpine- vibe. The fish in the restaurants comes from the lake itself and they catch it themselves.
