We wanted to have two full days in PV.
We wanted to have two full days in PV. We made the right decision. First day we went to fruitillas for half day. Nice place for some hours. there is e nice theatre there. If you want to visit for a show, you will need to book in advance. Second day was sunday and we booked to trip to the volcanos and waterfalls and beautiful turquoise lake. A very jolly town, clearly doing quite well. All the locals we spoke to were friendly and helpful, particularly the tourist Info in centre of town. Very beautiful city and surroundings.
Very beautiful city and surroundings. There are a lot of places and natural wonders to visit, any tourist would be impressed. Puerto Varas has a rich history which would amaze any curious mind. I arrived by bus since there are no flights between intermediate cities in Chile and it was very disappointing to find out that there is no proper bus terminal. My bus arrived at 5 am and we had to sit in the floor until a taxi appeared and he took us to the only 24h store in the city, which would only sell through a small window. Close to Puerto Varas and Frutillar! We chose to have dinner here on our last day (no restaurants in Llanquihue) and it was delicious, esp. the dessert. Clean spaces with fire stoves for extra cozyness, good interior choices, comfortable bed with enough quilts to never freeze, a garden, warm water in the shower, and two kitchens (one vegetarian and one for everything).
