    I go there to do dental work at Crystal Dental, as their prices are 2-3 times cheaper than in the USA and the quality is better, they speak English and have German equipment. I do not care about touristy stuff, I did it on my first visit many years ago. You can take buses for daytrips. Tours with agencies are very expensive and geared for young athletic people. I wish there was a sightseeing tour for the whole day on a bus to take pictures without any hiking or horse-riding.

    Jaco is fine, the beach at playa blanca is the best in the area. But you have to access it by going to the other beach and walking up the hill past the public parking or to tbe beach and then left down to the curve and then over the small hill.

    During the last Costa Rican rainy season, the beach was ravaged by strong storms. a large portion of sand was washed away leaving exposed rock over much of the beach. My photos reveal that about four feet of sand was washed away. My time there was a bit disappointing, but I believe nature or people will restore the beach to its former glory.

    Good value at Beach Break Resort Oceanfront room.

    Good value at Beach Break Resort Oceanfront room. Good lunch special at the Japanese Restaraunt next to the bus station. The sewage and grey water from the town run into a creek next to the resort which flows into the Ocean so you are swimming in your own 'stew'.

    Loved the balcony and the pool Also loved that the owner and property manager were ultra responsive The apartment is well appointed with everything you could need and simple easy to understand check in instructions Great sunsets off the balcony and entertaining beach scenes with surfers, horses, happy people

    Jaco by itself is a nice place for vacationing.

    Jaco by itself is a nice place for vacationing. The beach is good and a lot of beaches nearby. Its proximity to Manuel Antonio and other places in the north are a big plus. The downtown is buzzing with lot of restaurants and ice cream shops. We walked along the downtown in the evening.

    If coming by local TQP bus there is a stop is maybe 250m, very close by. Bed super comfortably. Good share kitchen. Safe, fridge, coffee maker and AC. Location is in a good neighbourhood of Jaco, close to a few nice bar / restaurants on the beach. Wifi was good. Safe, secure and quiet, away from the main road noise.

    We really loved the natural Park of the hôtel. We could see monkeys in the trees and perrots flying over as well as hummingbirds. The massage was very good and the lady was very professional. The breakfast was good and typical from Costa Rica.
