It's very close to the Old Town, Prague Castle and other popular sights, so I can easily go for a walk on Charles Bridge in the early morning, and of course in the evening too. Unfortunately, my flight from Helsinki to Prague had a short connection time, so my baggage got lost, but the manager Adela, and the excellent staff Teresa, did a great job and I was able to get it back the following evening. Che ottimo a me.

Very good hotel. Perfect location in the centre of Praag. Clean hotel, nice staff, good facilities. We took a room with 3 single beds as we traveled with friends and also here, the third bed was a good one. Often in hotels they will add a cot in a room, but not here. So well done! Coffee and thee are present, as also slippers, sowing kit, shampoo, etc....

Our room was simple but comfortable, quiet and quite large. The hotel is part of another hotel of a higher standard, so you get all the services of the best hotel and a room at a very reasonable price. The staff is friendly, they have a secure luggage storage and we were able to check in our room right away when we arrived early by night bus. I think it's the best value for money in the city center.

FAQs about hotels in Prague

Discover the Magic of Prague

The Czech capital is nothing short of magical, with Prague’s countless bridges, cathedrals, domes and castles reflected in the Vltava River. Thankfully the city escaped most of WWII’s destruction, leaving the rich history and fairytale façade of this Bohemian city intact.

Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world and the St. Vitus Cathedral is a stunning example of Gothic architecture. The Cathedral’s lookout tower rewards those willing to climb 300 steps with the best view of the city.

Walking through the cobblestone streets of the Mala Strana district will bring you to the Charles Bridge. Prague’s beautiful 14th-century monument buzzes with musicians and local crafts sales. The Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church, and Storch building of Old Town compete for popularity with the neoclassical Estate Theatre and the Czech National Museum.

The cafes and restaurants of Wenceslas Square are great for people watching and the Franz Kafka house, the Old New Synagogue and Frank Gehry’s Dancing House are perfect for soaking up history.

Flights arriving at Prague Vaclav Havel International Airport will be in the city centre after a short subway ride. For historic hotels, cheap hostels or charming apartments head to Booking.com for nearly 700 accommodations in Prague.

I came there with no expectations, it was a stopover before the Berlin marathon. A place to get used to the 6 hour time change. Turned out to be a fantastic city with beautiful architecture and lots of people. A lot more crowded than expected. Immaculately clean

Prague should definitely be on your list of places to visit. We walked many miles over 3 days and although we pretty much went everywhere, we could have quite happily spent another day or 2 to carry on exploring and revisiting some places.

Prague is a beautiful historical cultural city, I have visited it many times, I still like to go back there when you know the truth better, so that you can move around there, you don't visit tourist traps and places, you go locally, it's excellent, I recommend food, beer, fun, simple, everything, walks,

If you are staying at Astoria Hotel then it's only 5 minutes walk into town. Gorgeous pizza at Lascala restaurant near main square. Beautiful Thai restaurant called Lemon Leaf and omg the macaroons at Mad Rabbit are amazing. Make sure you do all bridges including Charles Bridge as they all have their unique views. Take a slow stroll up to Petrin Tower and take in the views there. All in all just do your research before without spoiling your adventure.

Prague must be one of the most beautiful, best-preserved old...

Prague must be one of the most beautiful, best-preserved old cities and cultural capitals in Europe. The old town square is magnificent, and I would recommend booking a visit to the Jesuit astronomical establishment called the Clementinum as well (so long as you are able to walk up and down a lot of stairs!). Just walking around the old town is a feast for the eyes. Getting around Prague by subway and tram was easy for English-speakers: just about everything is explained both in Czech and English (only). People are polite and welcoming. Czech food is a little challenging for vegetarians, but that is not a big surprise. My only reservation is that too many of us (tourists) want to enjoy it, while the picturesque old town neighborhoods are pretty small, with narrow streets -- so during tourist season (which apparently still includes mid-September) it feels a bit crowded. (We felt this especially in/at the castle.) But overall, a very worthwhile visit.

Stayed for 5 days, so much to see and do.

Stayed for 5 days, so much to see and do. We took in the top attractions, Charles bridge, the clock tower, old town square, castle, boat trip, Jewish quarter etc. The public transport system is such a fab way to get from place to place especially if you use the PID app on your phone. We bought a 72hour ticket and then added to it for the extra days, searched for places via the app and jumped on and off the trams or metro depending on which was best route. Still managed to clock up over 15k steps most days so this was great. Every meal was exceptional, don't know if we were just lucky or if the competition is so good over there that they all provide great food and service. Really recommend the medieval night for something a little different, a very entertaining evening.

The place is very well located and reachable from the train station by tram in 20 min. The rooms themselves were comfortable, quiet during the night. Breakfast included was good and decent to start the day (egg options, fruits, cereals, and vegetables). Room easily accessible and elevator available. Staff from the hotel reception were respectful (not necessarily welcoming), but respectful treatment. 20 min by foot to the castle. 25 min walk from the old town square.

Hotel reception was very attentive - best service we had in years, if you needed something it was attended to very promptly and confirmed as well. Breakfast was to die for, not the usual continental selection but properly cooked meal and more of a very good quality restaurant food so absolutely worth it. Location is superb - a bit off the center but 5 mins walk to Old Town Square and close to everything really. In short - brilliant!

Rooms very clean and spacious. Bed was very comfy with two huge pillows. Shower was hot and toiletres were provided. Breakfast was a bit chaotic as the hotel guests decided to eat at the same time 😄 so space was limited. Foodwise average. Good value for money and really nice location so close to Old town square and the restaurants.
