Quaint little town with cosy feel, beautiful architecture and an easy access to hiking trails. Visitors centre can provide with all the equipment necessary for hiking. Bad Schandea lovely area for older couples or young couples interested in walking, cycling or running as great paths alongside the river, transport free to surrounding villages with varied options of frequent transport ie ferry, trains, tram and buses. Lovely quiet town on the Elbe river.
Lovely quiet town on the Elbe river. Well connected with roads, publish transport including river ferries. Plenty to do and excellent excursions fronm the town, eg hiking, mountain biking. Good indoor pool incl. wellness / spa centre. You need to book restaurants for dinner in the high season. And by 9pm its quite quiet, so not a lot of night life!Guest review byMartin RGermany - 10.0

Bad Schandau area has a lot to offer and unfortunately we only spent one night here. I would have liked to stay another2-3 nights to do some hiking and bike riding in the area. I had a very good Thai Massage very close to the hotel. Town is pretty quiet at night with not a big selection for restaurants.Guest review byJuliaUnited States

Robin was an excellent host and went above and beyond to make sure the experience was a good one. Great for solo travelers, near hiking trails. Bathrooms were always clean, and the rooms were big and beds were comfortable. Literally 30-second walk to the beginning of hiking trails.
