Family vacation house on the Mosel 3 generations of one family (and a dog) – spent here 2 nights in May, 2024. This house is a very good place for family vacation: 3 bedrooms, a kitchen with a dinner table, a living room and 2 good bathrooms. Pet-friendly – this is fortunately typical for Germany. Distances: ~ 100m from Mosel. ~ 1.3 km to Edeka supermarket, ~ 7 km to Cochem center. There are also 2 minor “cons”: no dishwash machine and no Mosel view. Friendly host. Our stay(3 nights) at this property in the Mosel Valley region was truly exceptional. The location was ideal for exploring the area's beautiful attractions and landmarks, with Cochem town and various tourist spots all within an hour's drive. The house itself was immaculate, with clean and tidy interiors that made us feel right at home. The host was incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Bruttig-Fankel is a lovely little town on the Mosel.
Bruttig-Fankel is a lovely little town on the Mosel. Many Weinguts to visit, and good choices for food. Very quiet in the evening, with hardly any traffic. Convenient private parking. Excellent German breakfast included. Owners were extremely helpful and friendly, and spoke English as a bonus! On our trip, we drove nearly 2000 miles, but here we took the free bus and train pass (VRN) which was brilliant. Sadly, we never sampled the food & wine in his Weinzerstube.
