Really lovely breakfast on a balcony and the location of the hotel is ideal for us. The evening meal and a cold beer, sitting outside on the terrace, was perfect after a long journey. It is the staff though, that make this hotel a traveller’s haven… nothing is too much trouble. We have already booked our 2026 visits and are looking forward to them.

The breakfast was excellent and more than one would have expected. The evening meal was also good. The hotel was a villa built in the mid 1800s and has real character. It was very clean and well appointed.

The accommodation was easily accessible from the motorway just 5 minutes detour. It was set in a lovely little village with bakery, supermarket and old church (I loved the church bells) all minutes from the flat. The flat was so clean and tidy, the hosts very friendly and attentive, the flat was very well equipped and very spacious. This was so much better than staying in a hotel. The other thing that was so nice was they didn’t charge extra for us to have our dogs with us unlike some places we’ve stayed in before.

    The first thing to advise is that the Hotel isn't really in...

    The first thing to advise is that the Hotel isn't really in Holzappel. Instead you have to go to the small village of Dies and Bruchhauser Hotel is signposted from there, to the South of Dies and about half a mile away. Owners are very friendly and some conversed in English, my German is not very good !
