The museum in the Upper Castle is the best thing to visit in Siegen, which explains the history of the royalty who lived there, especially the Nassau / Oranje family whose descendants are still on the Dutch throne. Also good detail of the iron ore mining and iron/steel manufacture locally. The hotel was close to the motorway, the room was comfortable, the adjoining restaurant was good in quality and quantity. The breakfast the following morning was varied and substantial.
