The location of the accommodation was amazing, it was in a really quiet street, surrounded by trees. The property itself was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay, which we thoroughly enjoyed and unfortunately we could not have stayed longer. Our host was very helpful and kind. We will definitely return. Car parking was available outside the property.

Very friendly dutch couple hosting this hotel. Beautiful located and as a political/social scientist I was especially fascinated by the fact that this is just a few hundred meters from the old BRD/DDR-border. Here you can combine nature with fascinating historical sights. Very recommendable

Beautifully located hotel. We had a absolutely quiet night. The diner and breakfast were really good, above average! To top it off the staff was friendly so we could not wish for more :)

Great place with wonderful owners. The room was very fresh and spotless. Breakfast and dinner were both really good. I do enjoy that you need to order beforehand. The portions are very generous. You sort of forget it's a hotel, but you get the feeling you've come to someone's home. I really enjoyed my stay and would come back!

    Very friendly staff. We stayed in a family appartement and enjoyed the accommodation. The hotel is situated in Tanne, a green and peaceful environment, nearby the Harz national park, which is a hidden gem for us as foreign tourists. The national park and the hotel is definitely worth a visit. Our children really enjoyed the swimming pool, which is very clean, as are the changing rooms. For the money this hotel is really magnificent. We stayed there 2 nights, and regretted not having booked more nights.

    Spacious 2 room apartment, acceptable for the money Good sauna and pool area Funny model railway train brings you drinks in restaurant/bar Tanne is small place, with very few but nice places to eat, but is well located in Harz nearby other towns, sites, activites Very close to old steam train railway station in Sorge and to the old DDR border for some history

    We contacted reception that we would arrive after 20:00 and that we would need linen for 4 ppl. thankfully the hotel gave our room key to the restaurant, unfortunately when we arrived at 20:30 the restaurant had our keys but not our linens. Due to the time of year, the snowscapes were beautiful.
