The hotel is 4km from the A4/E40 motorway so close enough for a stopover but far enough away to be quiet. Good parking, very clean rooms, good restaurant and breakfast. Nice lounge/bar area. The hotel is on the edge of the small town of Apfelstadt so offering an opportunity for an after dinner evening walk.

Very curious style of hotel. I was perfect for the night. Bed was incredible large and high, but also very comfortable. The bathroom was great. Host was really kind.

The name "hotel" is too much. It is very difficult to trace: one has to pass a farm yard to find a type of tractor track to reach the premises. The traveller has to contact the manager by phone to get admission. Which would work if there should not be a very active answering machine. One gets a locker code to answer the door. The building itself is wonderfull nice furnished in a mediaval theme, very surprising. There stands even a harnassed warrior in the corridor to welcome you, but rather speechless of course. The hotel is equiped with facilities for a longer stay, like a complete kitchen for general use as well as an appendix where one can find a washingmachine aso. Eeverything is very clean and neat. The room is decent furnished, not big, but enough and complete with e.g. morning tea facilities. Bathroom do. Bedding was allright. No dinner facilities. Breakfast not luxury but sufficient provided, with even good coffie. Friendly, moderate breakfast hostess. The hotel is worth the price demanded, advisable.
