We were there in early July.
We were there in early July. It would have been better to go in August and let the water have a few more weeks to warm up. The water temperature was about 18 degrees when we were there, and that's a bit cold for me. The town is lovely and the people are quite friendly. Warnemunde is a very nice place with a lot of nice restaurants and really cosy. During winter time its also very quiet and relaxed. Summertime and Easter there are much more people, but also very nice during the warm period of the year and nice beach. Warnemünde is a gorgeous small city.
Warnemünde is a gorgeous small city. It's relaxed and very clean. We found it perfect for visiting with our small children. There's a nice park, the beach, the Nivea indoor pool and the Warnefornien (LadenCafé), where they serve the yummiest coffee in town. (Actually, it's the only spot we found to serve high-quality and strong coffee, so skip the other cafés and go there right away ;-)...) The modern interior design, very nicely renovated We had partial sea view but that was the best view I think because we were overlooking the entire beach promenade and the beach.
