    A lovely city to be in, plenty of places to visit in the city; lots of cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops. Lovely walks around the lakes, woods, and river. Central shopping areas is pedestrianised so no cars.

    This place has higher standard than most of the hotels/pensions, it provides not only 4 walls with bed. Here you feel like at home, you'll get high quality room, shared bathroom with box of small towells living room and free coffee machine and snacks, nice terrace, breakfast with eggs in hand made hats and home made bread. With all these and many others small details, Lena treats You like a guest, not like a customer. We stayed in Danemark for 7 days in 6 different hotels, and this one was unique.

    Excellent location in historic buildings, the breakfast is always top notch, if you want to experience one of the most scenic areas in Denmark, you should choose Gl. Skovridergård. Also close to Museum Jorn and cultural experiences in the old paper factory, swims in the local lakes, or sailing trips or canoeing/kayaking along the Gudenå to Himmelbjerget. Surprised to discover that you can also borrow bikes (also electric) for free.

    I enjoyed my stay so much. The owners are super caring and kind persons. They can assist you with anything at any time. The house is super comfortable, very well equipped and close to the center and the station, max. 10. min. easy walking. The breakfast is delicious. You feel like home. Highly recommemded in Silkeborg. I am sure will return. Thank you, Guys.

    Comfortable camping pod - it's not a cottage in the UK sense! Decent toilet/washing facilities. Nice lakeside walk of 2km to river/lake boat station. Morning fresh bread service.
