Our host was incredibly friendly, even though we only stayed for one night in Præstø, a calm little town near the sea. The apartment was HUGE and the owners also have a café downstairs, so if you arrive before it closes, you can also visit and grab a coffee or eat a cookie there. I would definitely like to return if we go back to that area again.

The quiet location. Friendly hosts and great breakfast. Stayed here with my son and 2 of his friends on a cycling trip 13 years ago. It was a great stay then and a great stay in 2025. Praesto is an easy drive/cycle from Dyrlev for food/drinks,etc

We highly recommend this lovely spot. It's easy to find, just off the motorway so it makes an excellent stop just before or after the Puttgarten ferry. The room is lovely, with an outdoor space and easy access to the waterside - perfect for dogs and children. Plenty of parking too. There's nowhere nearby to eat so we walked to the water then followed the path which leads easily to the quiet road around the bay to the beautiful old town. It's only about 25 mins. Even off-season there's a place open at the harbour, and we ate at Cactus on the main street, outside as we had our dog with us. Delicious breakfast, served promptly so we left on time to get the ferry south.

It was a great experience having the animals within reach. It was a very quiet I haven't slept so well in years. Nice rooms that could be darkened. No traffic around the place. A very cute owl looking into my eyes from the kitchen window.

    Hotel Fjordkroen was a beautiful gem on our roadtrip. The hotel is family owned and the staff is fantastic; so kind and welcoming, it made our stay extra special. The rooms were quaint and the views were amazing. How lovely to wake up with a view of the sea! The restaurant was equally excellent in terms.of quality, whether at dinner time or at breakfast. Highly recommend staying here, you will not regret it!

    View was outstanding right on the waterfront. Peaceful. We were lucky to get a table at the nearby restaurant: Hotel Fjordkroen, we suggest booking ahead: +4555965810 as it is very popular. Not cheap but very good.

    There are not many options in the area, so I booked this hotel despite not having a private bathroom. Overall ok. Very good food, yet very high prices.
