Year-Round Sun and Fun

Set against the backdrop of desert and mountains, Sharm el Sheikh is a year-round Red Sea diving and beach resort. Although based on an existing village, it is very much a purpose-built holiday town, with lots of international brands of hotel, restaurant and bar lining its sandy shores.

The oldest part surrounds the Old Market, a heady mix of shisha and spices, roughly in the middle of the Naama Bay and Um el Sid suburbs. The other Sharm districts of Shark’s Bay and Nabq Bay are along the coast by Sharm el Sheikh Airport.

The Red Sea offers some of the world’s best dive spots with rich underwater life on the deep reefs of the amazing Ras Mohammed National Park. Other watersports include windsurfing, kayaking or banana boating, and the Cleopark waterpark has flumes, pools and rapids.

Other things to do include shopping at Il Mercato mall and the many souvenir stalls, karting at Ghibli Raceway, or watching a show at the Arabian-styled Alf Leila Wa Leila. Outside town you can go horse or camel riding in the desert, and visit a Bedouin village or St Catherine’s Monastery in the Sinai peninsula hills.

The Sharm el Sheikh accommodation on Booking.com covers everything from 5-star holiday resorts to all-inclusive hotels with pools, and cheap apartments.

Sharm El Sheikh is a stunning tourist city with beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and plenty of fun water activities. It’s an excellent destination for families and those looking to relax. However, it’s worth noting that some people there (not everyone) can be pushy – following you around, trying to pressure you into buying something, paying them, or even acting like they are begging. This can be a bit annoying, especially if you’re looking for a peaceful experience. Overall, I recommend Sharm El Sheikh for families to enjoy its natural beauty and activities, but stay alert and cautious when dealing with certain street vendors or people in markets.

Sharm El Sheikh is truly a beautiful destination with so much to offer. The beach life and entertainment are amazing, with a variety of activities and experiences for every taste. There are plenty of nice resorts that provide good value for money at generally acceptable prices. However, there are some challenges that need attention: Airport experience is very poor—transportation, customs, and immigration services are below expectations and create a bad first impression. Food and drink quality and cleanliness in some places should be improved. Some people focus only on pushing for high social media reviews instead of giving honest advice and real service, lake of organizations and use new digital tools which affects trust and the guest experience,. Overall, Sharm El Sheikh has huge potential and offers wonderful beaches, activities, and resorts, but more attention is needed to improve airport facilities, service ethics, and food standards to reflect the true beauty of the destination

he hotel was very clean – pools, rooms, and the whole area were well maintained. The food was relatively varied and of good quality, and the sea was beautiful and clean. However, a big issue came up if you are traveling with a child and you are not from the UK. A company called Holiday Village controls almost all the entertainment, sports activities, and the kids’ club. If you are a UK guest, this hotel is absolutely amazing, but if not, it can become a nightmare for you and your child. Guests are given different wristbands – UK guests get a blue one, most other Europeans get black, and Arab guests get white. Since we had the black wristband, my 7-year-old son, because Normally he doesn't speak English well, was not allowed to join the kids’ club, entertainment, or even activities like football. Even when several children from outside Holiday Village wanted to play football in the evening, the staff would literally turn off the lights on the field. Only after strong insistence from parents and kids did they allow them to play for one hour on one night. This kind of separation between children is very hard to accept and really disappointing. Apart from that, everything else was as expected from a 5-star Egyptian resort. Alcoholic drinks were very limited and cannot be compared to Antalya hotels, but the reception staff specially a nightshade guy named Mahmood, help us a lot to experience a nice welcome to this hotel.housekeeping also were polite, friendly, and did their best.

The staff were super friendly, helpful, and always smiling.

The staff were super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. I went with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and her birthday, and I informed the hotel in advance. To our surprise, they generously prepared two complimentary cakes in our room. Such a thoughtful gesture! The resort itself is absolutely breathtaking — from the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the beautiful nature, to the magical snorkeling experience. Everything felt perfect and unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway.

The rooms were stunning with beautiful decor, fresh, clean and amazing views to the pools. There are couple of hot pools for winter which was lovely. The staff were absolutely amazing, very welcoming and helpful throughout! Food was lovely as part of all inclusive and it was quite lovely to have an adult only hotel, for a quiet and relaxing break. Great location, near a row of shops and about 25 mins taxi to Naama bay and 20 mins to old market.

The hotel was fabulous, the staff made it even better. A big thank you to Atef for helping us before we even flew out and through out our stay, Osama for friendly assistance on site, Ahmed our cleaning looking after us as well. We had a late flight and were able keep our all inclusive through the day and shower before flying in the evening. Like I said, we were very well cared for. Thank you.

Is not a five stars hotel, Superior room size is big but need some maintenance and there is issue with mosquitoes. All inclusive is not 100%, for some drinks or depends on the place they are asking for extra charges. Beach is not at same hotel. Definitely the money I paid not match with the hotel quality. Animation team is very friendly as most of the staff, also main pool is nice.

Our first Adults-only, hotel. Oh wow... What a difference. Crazy pool parties, no kids screaming. The food is amazing and every day it s different.. Tens of dishes. Very clean everywhere. The service is excellent. The all inclusive value for. Money (140euros per day per two person in an elite room), is amazing. The view was exceptional. Quiet room, not far from the big pool.

Lovely hotel. Very clean & the staff were lovely. As you'd expect, the food is to taste of the locals but was still lovely! We came all inclusive for 2 weeks. Great location, close to the bars/restaurants and couple minutes walk from the beach (private beach area for the hotel). There's also a little shop on site of the hotel. Would definitely return & highly recommend 🙂
