Very cozy place with a very good beach, restaurants and shops. Nothing historical near the sea (the castle is very far from the beach), but it's a very convenient town for resting. I like small resort city, like Calafell. If you need a rest from your life routine, just some sun and fresh and warm air, tasty food and frendly people, you can choose Calafell! The beach was amazing, large, sandy, clean and not busy at all despite us visiting in July. We stayed on the edge of Calafell so there were not many restaurants nearby, but that was not such a problem for us as we mostly cooked our own meals. The location is perfect, and the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spotless and well-arranged, making for a comfortable stay. I especially appreciated the small details, like the ample supply of coffee capsules, the thoughtful addition of cocoa for the kids, and the anti-mosquito sets.
