Typical frontline sea side town. Great to walk along the beach, but take into account it is not a dog friendly beach. Many properties on the frontline are tired, making it feel a little run down. A little TLC would not go a miss. There are hotels and self catering apparments, with sufficient super markets in the neighbourhood at a short drive, just a bit to far to walk. There is a good array of cafes and restaurants, of mixed quality and price as can be expected. It is the perfect location to relax as there were not that many people like in other areas we visited - Sitges was crazy busy, Tarragona as well. The beach and water are very clean and there are plenty of places to eat or shop. It has great connections to airport, to Barcelona & other smaller locations along the beach. Comarruga, San Salvador etc. are one of the best kept secrets of the Golden Coast (Costa Dorada). Forget going north of Barcelona, this is the place to be! The people are very friendly and the beaches are fabulous. Prices are good too! The apartment is beautiful and clean with all the things we needed. We could cook, make coffee, wash and dry our clothes and towels. We enjoyed a beautiful view of the beach and sea from the balcony. The beds were so comfy. The beach is super close, clean, large and spacious with a small creek of sweet and cold water - perfect for small kids to play in.
