La Pineda offers lovely views on a huge harbour. Sorry for the irony. Furthermore it's quite a tacky place with lots of cheap, lousy shops. The restaurants were quite good, although there aren't many of them that look nice as well. Currently they are remodelling the boardwalk, so that's a downside as well. The beaches are lovely though! Lovely place to stay, especially couples, very comfy & clean, fabulous food (half board). Direct access to beach which was great. Sea view balcony was lovely. Nice pool for lounging also. La Pineda is very clean, safe area. Plenty of shops to browse through with restaurants & bars to sample also. Nice beach but not an attractive view from it.
Nice beach but not an attractive view from it. A number of restaurants available, we ate in 2. The Mix had good service and a varied menu, we would recommend it. Can't remember the name of the other. The area has small shops with typical seaside resort items to buy. Taking a taxi is easy, we asked our hotel to call one for us & it arrived quickly both times. ideal for families for the closeness on visiting theme parks but the resort didn’t have a central town area with good shops. The shops are all selling tourist beach goods. However it has a good bus service to get you into nearby Salou or Tarragona. super nice place for families.. beach is very large and all needed groceries stores nearby... the beach has all needed amenities, volleyball, gymnastic bars and several kiosks , there is also a waterpark in the urban centre.. and bigger theme parks nearby. We especially loved the huge balcony overlooking La Pineda and a small portion of the sea. The equipment in the kitchen was sufficient. We had a small problem getting into the apartment, but the customer service did its best and helped us quickly. Once we return to La Pineda, this will be our choice again.
