I am a cyclis, I have visied Lanjaron numerous times over the years. I usually stop with a tour company. The place is great for mountain biking and hiking, its a small place but good choice for food and drink. It's a very quaint place.
It's a very quaint place. There are some nice bars and restaurants. The Hotel Balnerario offers different spa treatments to the public although we didn't have time to visit. Much of the activities surrounding Lanjarón involve walks and outdoor activities. It's a beautiful area and the other neighbouring villages are well worth visiting too. Lanjarón itself has a lovely little park (parque El Salado) and there's the museum of honey (museo de miel €3 entry) It's an interactive museum and it's fun and interesting. Be warned it's all in Spanish. There is also the ruined castle to visit. In the village there are some helpful guides to walking routes which range in length and difficulty. It is a very typical beautiful mountain town with lots of fountains. The people in the shops are very friendly and have nice natural products for sale. It is a very relaxing place and there is a nice woody walk down to the Castle. It is a small town but has all the services and good restaurants one needs. The locals are very friendly and helpful (but then again I speak Spanish which is needed).
