Hotel is amazing, really clean and amazing location! You can go everywhere by foot, all the sightseeing and important amenities are close by. Staff is so nice and kind. They even sent me a piece of cake with a candle and a champagne since I had birthday while staying there! They clean your room every day. We will definitely come back.

Anytime again! What a great hotel - such a lovely place to stay in Màlaga! The nicest hotel staff I have encountered this year! Couldn‘t wish for more. Very kind people, rooms are beautiful, big and very clean! And they have Rituals shower gel which is a plus too ;-) A big „thank you“ to Juan at the lobby - he was always super helpful!

An exceptional and grand hotel, we were made to feel special and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Good food and drink options at the hotel, good rooms with good floor and storage space, comfortable beds and luxe bathrooms. Adjacent to the beach and close to local good eateries in nearby streets. A short walk along the front to the Marina for more bar and restaurant options, shops and markets. A little further to the old town for some local culture and history, and more traditional places to eat tapas and drink sangria.

FAQs about hotels in Málaga

The Colourful Soul of the Costa del Sol

The birthplace of Picasso is as colourful as an artist’s palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. When the sun sets, the vibrant nightlife awakens and you’ll find your place amongst the youthful square of the old centre, the trendy bars of La Malagueta or on one of the terraces of Pedregalejo.

There’'s also rich history underneath the sun and fun. Alcazaba is a Moorish castle from the 11th century and just next to it are the remnants of a Roman Theatre. The white stone tower of the Malaga Cathedral rises up in the heart of the city centre, and offers an interesting respite from sun bathing on the magnificent and popular beaches.

A more modern history can be appreciated by visiting the birthplace of Picasso and a museum full of exhibitions by Malaga’s most famous resident. A more relaxed Spanish city than Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga is still the gateway to the Costa del Sol and the busy Malaga Airport is only 10 km from the centre of town.

From budget hostels to 5-star luxury hotels, with Booking.com you’re sure to find the perfect accommodation for your sunny holiday.

I think 3-4 days in Málaga would be ideal - we had a bit less time. There are some nice central beaches, which are worth visiting. The cathedral is really beautiful and there are some nice tapas bars right next to it, so one can have dinner with a view. Overall delicious food, but, contrary to my expectations, the hotels here are significantly more expensive compared to Marbella or Granada. This surprised me, since Marbella and Granada are way more touristic than Málaga. If we have had some more time, we would have visited Alcazaba and Gabralfaro as well as some museums. Getting normal tickets (without a guided tour) for Caminito del rey seems to be impossible.

The Malagueta beach was very nice, we enjoyed the museums, the restaurants by the beach and also the historical places, even if it was very difficult to reach some of them, the Alcazaba fortress was so high up! We will surely return to Malaga in the future.

Beautiful place with lots of interesting places to visit.

Beautiful place with lots of interesting places to visit. Beach was a bit disappointing as the sand was full of cigarette butts but the rest of Malaga was quite clean. Quite a lot of building work going on. Everything was in walking distance with some of the best restaurants and food I have ever experienced. Lovely gardens and places to visit. The Glass Museum is a must and so was the Flamenco show and Bull Ring Museum.

    Stunning city, beautiful streets.

Stunning city, beautiful streets. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Lots of shops. The hop on hop off bus tour was an excellent way of getting around seeing things we would never have had the time to see, stunning beaches, magnificent marina with its bustle of market stalls. Again lots of places to eat and drink. I have never enjoyed walking so much, stopping for coffee and a bit of people watching. Our favourite place to eat was called Santa Monica, there are two and they both serve the same home cooked traditional Spanish food, highly recommend.

We were there for 3 nights which would have been a perfect length to visit only that we went to watch Davis cup tennis in Marbella for most of the Saturday. The longer we were in Malaga, the more we liked it. It is buzzing, vibrant and chilled. We did the hop-on hop-off bus and the boat trip on the bay, both were super. Also visited the Cathedral, the automobile and fashion museum and the Picasso gallery, which are worth visiting. A stop off at the castle provides fabulous views of the city and surrounds. Lots more to see and do if you have the time. Just walking through the streets and plazas in the sunshine, along with visits to the promenade were top of our list. Bucket loads of various coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Didn’t get time to do the shops and would have liked more time for this and to absorb the atmosphere of the centre of Malaga which is mostly pedestrianised and accessible.

We really enjoyed staying here. The flat itself is great, very spacious for two of us and clean with everything you need (except for dishwasher tablets and washing liquid). Having two bathrooms was very helpful and the showers were great. The location is wonderful, in Soho with the old town across the road plus the port and beach a short walk away. Malaga-Centro-Alameda train station is a few minutes away and on a direct line to the airport.

A very convenient and well-located hotel in the heart of Málaga! 🏙️✨ Surrounded by charming narrow streets, it offers the perfect base to explore the old town. Despite being in the city center and having a restaurant nearby, the apartment is surprisingly quiet, allowing for a good night’s rest.
