If you want to see the Las Médulas World Heritage site, the Mirador of Orellán is the best place to start your visit, because from there you get a great view of the whole area, and it's a good starting point for hiking. The building itself has been nicely renovated but you can see the history everywhere. Only a few minutes drive to the carpark for the viewpoint over the Roman mines.
