The best of this little town is that you have peace, quiet and also places to go for dinner, coffee shops and very nice for a little town. Very close to Queralbs and also you have cremallera to go visit Vall de Nuria, really beautifull place. We went in September, nice weather, not to hot, not cold at all. What a lovely town in the middle of the mountains.
What a lovely town in the middle of the mountains. Easy accessible by train from Barcelona, stops right in the town. Many options for accommodations and mountain treks all around. Many hiking and running routes cross here, I think it also one of the last stops before Queralbs where you can buy supplies if you are going to hike there. The town itself is very nice, beautifully set and pleasant to stay at. There are surprisingly many cafes, bars, wine shops as well as stores selling local food, such as cheese, honey etc. There is also a small, historical cinema that is more than 100 years old, which we have yet to see. Beautiful town with nice options for food and excellent views of nature. Good surroundings with hiking routes and Vall de Núria right there! Wonderful little village with nice restaurants with homemade local food. Great gourmet shops with cold meats, cheese and wine. The area is connected to some wonderful places by the cremallera train which is expensive but well worth it. Despite the rainy and chilly weather, the apartment could be quickly heated & our clothes dried. Supermarket and cheese shop next door (also a bakery, but it was closed for the holidays) and within walking distance of the centre of Ribes. The surrounding is great, with stunning view from the window. "Loft" apartment is really nicely designed. There's a fully functional private kitchen and bathroom with washing machine.
