I was only in Sarria for less than 2 days at the start of a camino walk to Santiago. It was a very interesting town with lovely old stone buildings, views, good cafes and restaurants and bars. very interesting historically. On Camino Way of Saint James. Beautiful historical sites, lovely stone work, churches that ring their bells for the hour & mass, beautiful community atmosphere, so wonderful to join millions of pilgrims who have walked for centuries from every place country nationality, speaking different languages. Buen Camino Thank you St James🤗 Good option for folks wanting to walk pilgrimage but restricted by personal time allowances. We thought Sarria would have a lot to offer since it is a major hub for Pilgrims. The historical section is so charming and has a handful of fun restaurants and hostels. Wish it had more boutique—like hotels b/c, otherwise, Sarria seems to lack charming housing options. There is a great store at the bottom of the hill as you are about to ascend up the infamous stairs to the historical section and out of town on with your walk. They have anything one would need for the Camino and there is a great pharmacy across the street as well.Guest review byMaryUnited States

Our cottage was great! It had a huge window overlooking a wooded area but still felt very private. The room had everything we needed to put together a quick dinner in our kitchenette (there is even a full kitchen in the common area that we could use if needed).
