The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed, with every little detail showing care and intention. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to unwind after a long day. What truly made the experience special, though, was the warmth and hospitality of the hosts. They went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, offering local tips, genuine conversation, and a sense of belonging that’s hard to find. It wasn’t just accommodation — it was a home away from home, and I’ll cherish the memories made here.

I so needed spa experience- sauna and jacuzzi- for my pulled back to heal. They had it there. I love how you can reserve it privately for yourself for an hour or two or more. They provide with bath robes, towels etc. staff is very accommodating. We have booked the gastronomy experience, the visit to clay pottery museum and wine tour in addition. Breakfast is lovely. I love how the hotel offers open space everywhere, high ceilings, room opens into the vineyard and town Navarete with a lavish altar piece. Free and abundant car park. Wine tour and tasting was done professionally and passionately as Carmen is so proud of the Riojan wine heritage.

Reception staff exceptional. The hotel and room spotlessly clean. The lounge area has such a calming relaxed atmosphere. The ambient music oozed class. Whoever chooses it should get a pay rise. Bed and bedding first class, like new. I use other hotel chains when not slumming it on the Camino but when back in England I'll certainly be looking at Mercure. Well done everyone.

Location a bit outside of the city center, however we did not mind to walk around 20-30 min to the center. The hotel was located in a quiet and nice residential area. The entire hotel either is new or recently renovated and very well maintained. There were free parking places around the hotel, but I have used the hotel one. Is located around 200 m from the hotel, but was no problem for me. Excellent breakfast with various products.

    Such an amazingly scenic area.

    Such an amazingly scenic area. We didn’t have time for dinosaur trails as merely touring thru. Village quiet and pleasant, ( steep) walk up to top church. No stores at all in village but proprietor of hostal (Huellas) happy to provide meals on request.
