It's a very nice and calm place, the hotel is situated in the old and beautiful garden - I didn't even know it can be so green in Andalucia. A very special place with a history. Usually default hotels we've been in the province were noisy and people don't sleep and are loud until very late. This one is NOT. We were looking for a calm place to rest in nature and this is definitely the one! The garden is beautiful and atmosphere is very nice.

The property was super well equipped and had everything i needed for a comfortable stay and felt really safe throughout. Location-wise, it was ideal: not far from Marbella or the coast, but still tucked away in the mountains for a peaceful break with some beautiful views.

The peace and quite. Stunning location. Pool and surrounding areas very well equipped and clean. Cottage was very comfortable. Good sized bathroom and shower. Kitchen is outside as it says on information. Very well equipped.

The staff is amazing, they definitely made my stay super good! All of them are very nice, helpful and funny! The location and the hotel is very beautiful. The salt water pool was amazing with beautiful views. Food both in the hotel restaurant and bar are top notch, drinks also very good. All in all a lovely stay!

    This looks like a great town, lots of older style white painted buildings. The few people we met were very friendly. Some of the streets are in excess able for cars but there is a large free car park and also a car park that runs along the river.

    We liked the fact that it was non touristy and typically Spanish. Plenty of walks around the area but transport is limited so if you want to sre other places nearby then a car is recommended. Staff very helpful and accommodation hood only lacking a kettle in the room. We tended to eat out locally as eating times in the hotel were late breakfast only served from 9am until 10.30 whivh was late if you needed to leave early. However, there were plenty of local cafes in the town itself that served breakfast.

    A great base for exploring this part of the Parque Nacional...

    A great base for exploring this part of the Parque Nacional Sierra de las Nieves. Some great hiking from here or or within a short drive. Steep and narrow twisty streets, but you can find parking at the lower levels if spooked by the driving challenge. Well kept and smart village. Limited accommodation options. But can recommend Hostal de La Plaza Tolox. (Note it IS an eight bedroom hotel not a hostel/hostal).

    Although quite a challenging drive the hotel is in a beautiful area. We stayed here 20+ years ago when it was very traditional prior to buying a property locally. Having now moved on we revisited the area to see old friends and booked the hotel again. It is better! The same traditional setting but with all mod cons. Great rooms with fantastic views, exceptional restaurant food at both breakfast and dinner plus helpful attentive staff. Recommend.

    Everything was great!! Host Jose put his love into this place. It is a newly built place, with great amenities prepared for longer stays and to enable you enjoy this mountain area of Andalusia in the lovely white village of Tolox. The hot tube works perfectly, The pool looks great (but we were visiting in April so we didn't make use of it.) Don't mind looking for any other place to stay, this one is perfect!

    Nice, clean and comfortable apartment. All well funktioning. Quite position at the rim of Tolox, directly close to the field and olive plantation. Parking directly in front of the house is without problem. Centre's of Tolox easy to reach on foot.
