Old centre has some picturesque buildings, and the novelty of huge stork nests on several of the church spires and towers, with storks and young in residence in May. It is a fascinating historical town, the old town rather crumbling at the moment. Centuries of history at every turn. Many bars with good ranges of tapas, but hard to find a functioning restaurant at the moment. good for wine tasting. A rural non- touristiy working town - mainly spanish residents with not much english spoken (youngsters do speak english) Nice locqal bars, restaurants etc. Walk around easily. Everything about is was perfect. A fabulous, very old building near the centre of Toro, We parked free of charge on the road outside, right under our bedroom window! Breakfast was excellent!
