There wasn’t really that much to do in Yecla. Initially we had chosen our overnight stay here based on the wineries we found on Google, but when we came it was as if they were not here anymore. Take your time, wander the streets, especially in the old town, stop and enjoy a coffee, visit the amazing Basilica la Purisima, visit your choice of Bodegas and be amazed at this beautiful town. When it comes to eating, be prepared for some fabulous tapas, with service to match. La Zaranda tops my list, closely followed by Barrabas Pintxos Y Mas. Peacefully set in a large garden, the place is a little gem that can be highly recommended if you are looking for an overnight stay in the Yecla area. Super clean and well maintained everywhere. Our room was not large, but fine and enough space. Plenty of cupboard space if you want to stay here for several days. Nice and large bathroom. Lovely covered swimming pool.
