We stayed in Espoo for one night,then stayed four in Helsinki. It was the best way of enjoying the snow (being Irish it is a novelty )and enjoying the peaceful forest surrounding the hotel. It was a great start to our christmas break before going into the city. It was magical and I did a morning hike around the grounds of the hotel. The staff were very friendly, talkative, and helpful. There was a big group having an event the day we were there and we had a fantastic dinner with the same menu as them. The room was simple but tasteful with a balcony facing the beautiful snowy landscape and a sweet forest aroma, and what a comfy bed! The next morning: great breakfast! The house, the location, the garden, the sauna, the nature, the lake and the environment. Marko and his family were wonderful hosts and gave us a lot of good tips and ideas about our stay in Finland. They were very warm and welcoming and lent us all kinds of toys for our little girl. Even had kittens that she could play with in the garden. Marko is also a great chef and a pizza maker. It was a central location but quiet at the same time. Breakfast was good, both grownups and kids had plenty options. Parking was also available and included in the fee, you could park in the SELLO mall parking lot and it had plenty of cheap EV chargers for those travelling by one (25 cents per kwh on the 11kw AC).Guest review bypriitEstonia
