Young, buzzy city - feels like a real discovery.
Young, buzzy city - feels like a real discovery. Alvar Aalto Museum is good if you are interested in design with lots of his buildings around too and the lake is a lovely walk/ run. Some nearby attractions too, so you need a car to make the most of this area. Jyvastyla was a great surprise, we visited the Aalto museum, which was excellent. We walk to the University of Jyvaskyla, very impressive and beautiful. We could walk in to the lecture halls, libraries, class rooms. Many restaurants and cafes. I would go back once more to see the city center and galleries.Guest review byRaquelFinland

You don't need a car as it's just across the courtyard. The hotel is also located next to great walking paths, they give you a map of shorter and longer paths around the lake. The breakfast is a regular Finnish breakfast with the common dietary restrictions well marked and on their own special table.
