Literally everything, the aesthetic is on another level, the view is perfect, the bed is insanely comfortable and the music that is playing while you enter your room creates such a unique atmosphere. All employees were so incredibly polite and genuinely helpful, truly felt like a welcomed guest. Top that with the most delicious breakfast with all fresh and local produce and I literally can't find a single fault with this place. The location is perfect to explore trails in Ounasvaara mountain and to enjoy a relaxing walk to the city of Rovaniemi. So so happy with this choice!

The hotel exceeded all our expectations! The rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always attentive and ready to help with a smile. Location was fantastic, close to main attractions yet in a peaceful area. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of fresh options. Highly recommend for anyone looking for comfort and top-notch service!

The staff was very friendly. We arrived very late after official check-in time and were given a detailed instructions to pick-up keys and get to our room. The room exceeded our expectations because for our long stay at the hotel we were were given free room upgrade from standard double to large double with kitchenette. The breakfast was really good with big varieties of food, were granted with some extra ingredients by the kitchen staff when we asked for them. For one morning we asked for early breakfast in room and were supplied with a huge breakfast box in fridge at the evening before.

It’s a small town, better to use Uber for transportation than local taxi, rent a car would be best. Make arrangements for ready to eat foods as most food joints will close by 8 pm. Wilt app is good for serving food and groceries. For northern lights hunting, better to book for guaranteed sighting with refundable options otherwise.

Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. At end of July, sunset around midnight for only a short time, which is cool.

Our stay was perfect and would 100% recommend. The apartment was beautiful and exactly like the pictures. We were a group of girls for a hen party and it was absolutely perfect for us. The location was great!

We went by car just to see the road and environment to Rovaniemi. We were not disappointed. Along the way met other international tourists like that of Poland, France, Spain, Germany. That was nice, all had different destinations especially those with bikes, their goal was to go all the way upnorth...

Our goal was to spend a few days in there during the "midnight sun" period and to explore the natural areas in that part of Finland. Rovaniemi is not an exciting town, but very pleasant with good museums to help you understand the Artic environment and good restaurants and activities. We did an excursion to the Ranua Wildlife Park, which was excellent, and another excursion that included hikes and a sauna and barbeque on a lake.

Arktikum Museum is worth taking .

Arktikum Museum is worth taking . I recommend to stay at least one full day on this museum. Regarding food there is an amazing Asian restaurant called Ozaki Teppanyaki Sampokeskus that is really good for families, We loved all the stuff we tried there. Romaniemi beyond the tourism atraction has a nice playground for kids based on Angry birds.

This hotel was our absolute highlight on our trip through Finnland. From the very first step until saying goodbye the experience was great! The personnel - everybody - friendly and supportive. The breakfast was great so we decided to stay for dinner - that was outstanding! The room very luxurious, with lots of space and comfortable beds. The hotel is located in the center of Rovaniemi, bus directly in front of the door. When we will come back to Rovaniemi we will for sure stay in the Arctic Light Hotel! Thanks for the wonderful stay!

Having a full apartment during our stay in Rovaniemi was absolutely wonderful. Space to relax and cook! The sauna in the apartment was a great addition to. The apartment was in a wonderful location, just far enough out of town but still only a ten min drive to get to the city and other attractions in Rovaniemi. Loved being able to go across the road to sled, and we also spotted the northern lights from the observation tower which was a short walk up into the forest. Wonderful spot to explore all Lapland has to offer.

Haawe is my go to place whenever staying in Rovaniemi or passing by. The rooms are clean and decorated nicely. The staff is helpful and friendly eg. were able to help with special request. The breakfast in the room kitchen is fulfilling and offers a good finnish flavours. I have been a long time customer of Haawe and have always enjoyed my stay. The hotel has also upgraded room TV's and improved air conditioning. I can highly recommend staying at Haawe

It was our first time in Rovaniemi and thanks to the lovely staff, we felt we made the right choice with coming to Rovaniemi and the Arctic City Hotel with the first step into the hotel. Special thanks to Miss Diana at the front desk, for her amazing welcome and guidance, to the Restaurant Staff and the kitchen for amazing food and ambiance. This hotel was definitely a highlight of our trip to Rovaniemi.

Lovely hotel outside of Rovaniemi. Great location to just walk out to the edge of the frozen river and see the Northern Lights. There is a tour company that operates out of the hotel too which means no additional driving / pick ups to go on tours. However having a car is a good idea if you want to spend time in and around the city given the cost of taxis
