Yes it’s in the middle of nowhere, but we knew that when we booked (you can see location on the map) and it was exactly what we wanted. Room was comfortable and warm, shower/sauna/toilets were all good, staff were great. breakfast was a good sized portion and tasted good. You have to get the bus/drive a while if you want to be in city or do tours etc. but there is Forrest right outside and a lake within 1km of the property and we spent our time exploring without another person in sight. We went out at night and saw the northern lights 2 out of 2 nights we were there, it’s very easy to find great spots without other people or light pollution in just a couple of minutes walk. Mini fridge and microwave available to use as well. overall great place to stay.

Milda and her dog were the perfect hosts, the place is beautiful, the igloo cozy and comfortable, shame we couldn’t see the aurora as it was snowing but we enjoyed our stay!

I have no real words to describe this experience in Lapland, only enriched by the accommodation we chose. Riitta is a very kind and excellent host, that always looks after the guest needs. The location is great, lost in the wilderness of the forest, adds a great charm to the already spectacular sight. Our stay at Korvalan Kestikievari was nothing short of magical! My wife Neli and I cherished every moment. The cozy cabin provided a warm retreat, and the enchanting surroundings felt like they were straight out of a fairy tale. Each day, we strolled along the frozen lake, and almost every evening, we were fortunate enough to witness the breathtaking aurora borealis. We also had the unforgettable experience of a husky ride, which was a true highlight of our trip. The wood sauna was another memorable aspect; we enjoyed a refreshing dip in the lake while relaxing in the glass-fronted sauna, all while taking in the mesmerizing aurora views. Overall, the hospitality we received was among the best we've ever experienced. A heartfelt thank you to Jaana and Seppo for making our stay so special!
