I was cycling down the canal Du midi and this hotel was ideally placed for a stop 35 miles from Toulouse. This is a simple hotel which delivers on the basics. The staff were super helpful. There is a secure bike rack outside the main entrance. Breakfast was lovely.

Loved everything about this exquisite studio. Beautifully decorated, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen. We arrived by bike and were able to secure our bikes in the hosts’ garage. Luis and David were lovely. The village is so quiet and doesn’t have a restaurant but does have a boulangerie/epicerie so we bought delicious food and wine and enjoyed a night in. Highly recommended if you are cycling along the canal. We were also very happy to do a load of washing.

This is a great spot just under 2km uphill from the Canal du Midi. Our host Anne was fantastic! We arrived tired, by bike and the local shop had closed down. Anne drove us to the next town to be able to buy food for the evening. Beds were comfy, plentiful hot water, great simple breakfast with home made jams

A no-frills hôtel but with all the basics you need; clean, comfortable, good shower and spacious room. The staff are friendly and attentive. We especially enjoyed the restaurant; delicious regional specialties and excellent service. A great place to stay walking the canal du midi.

    Don't confuse the town of Avignonet-Lauragais (which is...

    Don't confuse the town of Avignonet-Lauragais (which is delightful) with Port Lauragais (which is adequate). The Relais Fasthotel is a 3km walk from the town and quite isolated. My experience of the town itself was limited, but I found it charming, warm, friendly and well worth another visit.
