Songes des Vignes is a charming little village surrounded by vineyards. Equally charming, Alexandra our host could not have been more helpful. We arrived on Sunday evening so the local restaurant was closed. She rang a pizzeria in the next town who delivered us a pizza which we ate in Alexandra’s garden (exclusive to guests) in the vineyard with the most amazing views with a bottle of wine that was produced next door! We enjoyed the 4 course meal in Le 1217 restaurant in the chateau dining room. The outside pool is delightful surrounded by cherry trees.
