    We booked Les Tonnelles just for 1 night as a stop over on...

    We booked Les Tonnelles just for 1 night as a stop over on our way up through France. It was perfect for that, with easy parking right outside, friendly staff (who spoke a bit of English), great food in the small restaurant, and a comfortable room. All at a good price. Not sure if we’d want to stay any longer.

    The location at the heart of the champagne region is excellent. It is easy to visit the Renoir museum in Essoyes, the Napoleon museum in Chateau Le Brienne, and the city of Troyes. Bar-sur-Seine is small but interesting, with a good range of shops, supermarkets and bars. It was lovely to have free parking within the property's huge grounds, and the accommodation was well designed and ample for our needs. The hosts live on site, were very welcoming but gave us plenty of space too.

    Wooden stair access, cool inside on a hot day, comfortable, well equipped, quiet, in middle of small town, close to Seine , café, bakery, restaurant and bar. It was good to stay inside one of the old wood frame houses of Bar-sur-Seine.

    Great Hotel, the staff very friendly, the room as described, clean and comfy, shower very good and breakfast was excellent. Overall this Hotel was one of the best Hotels we stayed in travelling around France.
