- The owners (Sylvie & Damien) are very friendly and are always happy to help (planning activities, flexible in breakfast/diner timing, restaurant suggestions, etc.). - Everything is very clean. - Breakfast consisted of high-quality products with focus on local produce - it was also very extensive (while minimizing waste and leftovers which is - we can imagine - a difficult balance to maintain). - The hotel and domain are meticulously maintained with eye for every detail (cleanliness, home automation, comfort, atmosphere,...) In summary: very clean hotel, homely feeling with top-class service!

We decided on this hotel at the last minute, because after a complication with another accommodation, we needed accommodation for a few days at that moment.. The hotel is a bit more expensive, but, we do not regret that we decided on this hotel. The rooms are newer, spacious and clean. A hotel in a great location, close to the beaches of Normandy - Omaha, Utah, Juno... and close to all the attractions, close to the city of Bayeun and of course just a stone's throw from Caen. Breakfast was great! At breakfast, there was fresh, still warm bread and several types of baked goods. A coffee machine is also available free of charge throughout the day, as well as lemonade and water.

This place is amazing and is truly underrated (as per reviews). Location is simply wonderful. Houses are nice, cozy, two floors, close to the sea no matter in which building your room is (had garden house). Our room was very nice, good noise isolation, had terrace and bed was very comfortable. No issue there for us as there was no reception in the building we stayed as reception is easy to get to - it is short walking distance. When registering we were offered to have a booking at the restaurant- very thoughtful and nice. We also decided to extend our stay and we were very happy how the request was handled starting from very prompt communication and ending with our luggages being handled by a staff. Great service! Breakfast was good. The only thing I missed was hot meal option e.g., pancakes; scrambled eggs or similar but that could be more cultural thing so not much of a deal breaker. Coffee was very tasty and very tasty pastries. Of course, must try the restaurant! Great staff and very tasty food, good vibe!

Second time we booked with Le Carline. All perfect, we loved it, spot clean, very calm. No-nonsense wifi, just connect and that's it, no lengthy procedure to register. Personnel very welcoming, attentive, even remembered that we were there. On checkout we forgot a tablet, soon after phone call to let us know. Bonus: great location to visit Caen. We came by car, parked at the hotel, leisurely went by public transport, tram and bus stop almost next door.

We were given rooms with views of the beach, the English Channel, and the flags above the memorial to the North Shore Regiment. The manager was excellent. The breakfast was exceptional. The hotel is well located for travelers visiting the D-Day sites. As Canadians, we were touched that the hotel and the town participated in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. We will come here again.

    Stay there for a restful period of a few days or more. Parking is free as is WIFI. Breakfast is excellent and more than reasonable with all the coffee I could drink. Large shower and lots of restaurants within 5 to 10 minutes away. Ideal stay for a visit of all the Normandy historical sites, which given their large number would require a couple days stay or more. Enjoy!
