The Chateau is delightfully eccentric in appearance and...
The Chateau is delightfully eccentric in appearance and atmosphere. It is hard to describe the overall sensation , suffice it to say it was Delightful. The rooms and public areas are decorated with an eclectic mix of furniture and decorations from near and far. Transporting one back to a bye-gone era. Almost like stepping onto a film set but with more reality. I have British friends who have renovated a Chateau and it became very 'Proper' ,( not a criticism) but this one feels just like 'Home'. If you stay anywhere in the Limoges don't miss this experience. From the delightful and friendly Chatelaine ( ready to share the history and experience of the house ) to wild life, from the Pet Pig Gerard, chickens Cockeral and horses to the amazing Trees that cover the park . And on a very WET and cold May day the rooms were cosy and as warm as the welcome. I cannot find words to praise this house and experience enough.Guest review bykayUnited Kingdom
