Laurent, our host, was very friendly and helpful. He gave us all the information we needed, did our laundry for us and left sparking wine, beer and bottled water in the fridge for us when we arrived. Indeed, the kitchen was quite well stocked: there was tea, coffee, sugar, salt and cooking oil, for example. We also loved the unusual character of the semi-troglodyte house. Having two toilets meant that there were no uncomfortable moments. Finally, the view from the window of the River Cher, with the railway line in front, was great too.

David and Natalie were fantastic, accommodating and welcoming. The accommodation was renovated to an absolutely superb standard using everything of a very high quality. The bathroom was outstandingly equipped and a beautiful shower. The breakfast was stunning, fresh and tasty with absolute quality products. A gorgeous location and we hope to stay again very soon. Our welcome by Angie when we arrived was fantastic, she and Emily have completely renovated the building and we're so excited to share it with their guests. I can't praise them highly enough. The breakfast was varied and plentiful. If you are close by, you must book this Chambre d'hote. Montrichard is a fabulous town to explore too.

Very clean and very well maintained house with beautiful park. Listening to the sound of a little river, birds, smelling the fresh air and looking at the green park makes you instantly calm. Much recommended. Owners were very welcoming and friendly people. Breakfast was great.

    Very quiet town with limited eating options. But the next town of Montrichard (very close) offered many more options in a quaint village setting. Also other amenities such as gas station and supermarket.

    The owners were so attentive and kind. They thought of every detail and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Although it’s a very historic vintage style chateau everything was very clean and perfectly decorated. Dinner options on the nearby towns are limited. Highly suggest having nightly dinner at the hotel. The rate is reasonable and the service is five star. The decor is amazing! Washing machine and USA style dryer are available on property.

    Perfectly situated for a stop on the way thru the Loire Valley to the coast. Authentic, very private and personal hotel experience. Chance to meet other guests at breakfast but not overcrowded at all. Olivier’s recommendations for what to see and where to buy wine were perfect for our needs. He also made it possible to eat at the manor after a long day of traveling in, despite having a full party at his „hotel table“ that evening.

    Our stay in the Bourré troglodyte home was one of our favourite holiday stays. The home itself is beautiful and in a great location for visiting the many nearby chateau. With great facilities too, we had everything we needed. From the very outset, Laurent made sure we had everything we needed and gave us the best local knowledge of the area. Thank you Laurent!
