Beautiful medieval town with quaint streets and a lovely farmers market while we were there. The chateau is worth a visit and you get beautiful views from the ramparts and across to the country side and river. Easy to walk everywhere as we were close to town. Chinon is a beautiful old mediaeval town by a large river. Extremely attractive with narrow streets and pretty squares. Lots of bars and restaurants. Lovely clean, modern facility (more of a bed & breakfast than what I would call a hotel). The host was really helpful & attentive. We had the last available room as it was a last minute booking & our host apologised for the size of the room, but it was absolutely fine for our needs. The hotel is within walking distance of a variety of great restaurants & Chinon is a lovely historic, picturesque town. The breakfast included a selection of high quality products, the room was stylish and spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfy and I slept very well. I like that it is a small hotel so peaceful as there aren't lots of floors and other guests. It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful little town.
