A beautiful charming town, all centres around cognac making, we arrived on a Friday and found the whole town very quiet, we were later informed that the majority of inhabitants working in Cognac would be in summer holidays and only tourists remain, so if in peak season looking for a little peace and quiet, this is the place to go. Loved everything about Cognac. Historical city, many old buildings to see. The riverside made a lovely walk, and had superb restaurants.If you like to drink cognac, this is the place to visit as several cognac producers have a base here, and are open to visitors.Everyone was very friendly and a lot of people there spoke English, which helped!
