Francois-Xavier and Virginy were so kind in so many different ways. They treated us as their own family, and we loved every minute of our stay. The fetching of pizza's from the local pizzeria, which saved us more saddle time on already sore behinds, was hugely appreciated! :)

Comfy bed, clean showers and toilets. François the host was just excellent and so friendly - and I loved the super cute doggy (Roi, if I remember correctly?) 🐶🐶🐶 and the dinner was excellent, too!! Thanks for everything!

Florence and Manuel run this place like a homestay and it truly felt like a home away from home. Manu and Flo are the warmest people and make you feel so welcome. The room was very spacious and clean with a lot of little beautiful details. the dinner and breakfast they offer is all homecooked with local and organic ingredients. The best was that our kids were welcome to run around and were treated like little guests themselves. we all had a wonderful time… thanks, Manu and Flo!

    As an art historian, I found it absolutely mesmerizing to be...

    As an art historian, I found it absolutely mesmerizing to be in the vicinity of the abbey of St. Foy. The tympanum sculptures, along with the monk's guided tour of them, the tribune tour every night, the light show projection on the tympanum at night were all great. Seeing the reliquary of St. Foy, and Charlemagne reliquary was wonderful too. I spent two entire days exploring the abbey and another wandering the streets of town (up and down hill hiking). It is an enchanting place.

    Conques is a fantastic mediaeval village.

    Conques is a fantastic mediaeval village. Very easy to spend a couple of days wandering around the streets. The church is a wonder. Auberge St. Jaques is very central with a restaurant and a bar. You do need to be able to negotiate the stairs, though.

    When we arrived in the rain the lady allowed us in early. The room was clean and functional for us and close to great food (Chez Dani for a huge, tasty and great priced lunch with lovely staff) and Conques is beautiful with limited accommodation in season, so we were fortunate to find availablity though it was pricier than other areas.

    We stayed in the guest house which was a generous size. Comfortably furnished. Ample kitchen. Spacious bathroom, great shower. Lovely gardens to sit in and an adjoining path along the river. Short distance from Conques. Warm and gracious hosts.
