    I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the...

    I’ve visited Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie many times over the last 20-odd years but never stayed here until now. It was a superb choice: close to the cycle route, 15 mins from three excellent bakeries and one minute from the promenade. There’s a good choice of restaurants, ice cream parlours, kiosks and bars within 5-6 minutes’ walk and the two towns just a bit further in the other direction. I would recommend the area to anyone: there are activities for the whole family, for beach fans or people looking for cultural days out. It’s worth going just for the food but the scenery is spectacular with some fantastic sunsets. The weather is changeable but all you need is decent clothing. Top tip: visit Boulangerie Bleue in Saint Gilles for superb bread and some interesting desserts!

    Very comfortable room and helpful staff (even corrected and improved our French!). We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay in the Ceitya and were recommended some great restaurants to eat supper out (Oscars and Le St Gilles). Good breakfast and secure bike storage around the back of the hotel. We enjoyed the bar to relax in and sip some locally brewed beers.

    Staff were very attentive and friendly and addressed our issues with the size of the room and lack of storage and moved us to a much bigger room quickly - the next morning. The breakfast was really good with a wide variety to suit everyone. Rooms were clean and cleaned daily if desired. The pool was lovely and clean. Beautiful hotel.
