A beautiful old harbour town, that was buzzing with life even in the cold and damp. There are so many beautiful houses and buildings and the streets are filled with galleries and handicraft shops. There is some stunning art on display and plenty of places to get original souvenirs. We could have stayed for a week.

Quaint streets, plenty of bars/restaurants, it has a lovely, relaxed vibe. We rarely revisit holiday destinations but this was our 5th visit to Honfleur and our 3rd stay. The only negative for me is the way many of the eateries stop serving food each afternoon, making it difficult with toddler grandchildren who need to eat before the 6.30 - 7pm reopening.

Honfleur is a beautiful place to visit, old streets with lots to see and explore. Nice walks through parks, by the harbour and around the town. Plenty of bars and restaurants. Easy to get to from Le Harve and only 2.5 hours from the tunnel it’s a great place to start or finish your journey.

    Beautiful town.

Beautiful town. The Harbour is the main feature but the surrounding area is beautiful too. We caught a bus to Trouville and Deauville which are well worth a visit. From where we were staying it was a short walk to the beach through the ‘Le Jardin des Personnalities’ which was stunning. The beach is lovely with a great beach bar with a varied menu of meals and drinks and reasonably priced. From the beach you look across to Le Havre port which isn’t very scenic and you do have tankers going down the estuary but that didn’t deter anyone as plenty of people were in the sea.

A historic and picturesque town that sees lots of visitors year round. If short of time, you can see most of it in half a day but there is more to explore if you have the time. As well as the art shops and galleries there are retailers of local produce and lots of restaurants. To get an appetite one might take a walk to the beach or around the Jardin des Personalities,or cross the bridge to venture in the direction of the control tower for shipping on the lower Seine. Some surprisingly large ships can be seen heading to,or from,Rouen and they pass easily beneath the imposing Pont de Normandie. I hesitate to use the phrase tourist trap, but some enterprises do make the most of the opportunity,so be aware.I've been there more than a dozen times and always enjoy the experience.

There are some excellent restaurants and art galleries - and the 'Petit Train' is well worth the 8 euros for the round trip. The Saturday market is excellent - a wide range of local produce, ciders and calvados. An historic town with many interesting museums and access to gardens and beaches.

Gem of a small hotel. Beautifully furnished suite overlooking lovely little garden. Super comfy king sized bed. Nice little galley kitchen with fridge. Sukru the owner was a hospitable and friendly yet unobtrusive host. Great location on a traffic free quiet street close to the centre of the lovely Honfleur harbour. For our 4 day stay we parked our car about 400 metres away at the Naturuspace car park which is free. There is also street parking (payment) to the rear of the property. Highly recommended.

A regular stop over on our trips to France, so we know what to expect which is a good location comfortable bed and a value for money breakfast. Bathroom on the small size but this is a budget hotel. plenty of hot water and clean. If you need a hairdryer ask at reception but make sure you do it during their "opening times"

Wow! Honfleur is an amazing place full of character and L’Absinthe Hôtel is the jewel in the crown. Best location next to the quayside, wonderful welcome from Victor and his team, cosy well equipped and comfortable bedroom with en-suite, charming Normandy decor with all ‘mod cons’, attention to details big and small.
