A spectacular medieval town on the banks of the Nantes Brest canal. It never fails to disappoint-whether you want to explore the chateau, roam through the streets lined with timber framed houses or wander in the Bois d’Amour - there is something for everyone. If you want to be more energetic then you can cycle for miles, in either direction, along the canal path or drift along on one of the canal boats. Delightful historic town with a chateau and many 16th century houses which have been well maintained. There are information plaques on many of them and it is easy to walk round the town which has a river/canal as well as parks. There is a good choice of places to eat from restaurants to cafes, bars and creperies. Arnaud made us very welcome and we stored and charged our e-bikes securely at the property. We stayed in the very spacious first floor room which overlooked a pretty courtyard garden where we could relax. There was a choice of restaurants within walking distance of the house.
