Le grau du roi is a beautiful compact fishing port. It is located along a bar and cafe canal like estuary. The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches. Great places to go walking. Amigoland, though expensive, is fun for kids of all ages - even those in their forties. You can rent motorboats and jetskis in town. For connections, its not far from Montpellier or Marseille. The bad: Restaurants are poor in LGdR. From French to Italian to Asian they all disappointed. A very pleasant Meditteranean resort, plus the inhabitants are friendly and welcoming. Access and parking are easy. Not sure about the food. It's good, if not inspiring. We appreciated and made use of the beach bowls and brolly. They were responsive when we had a question. Location was great for local restaurants. The parking place was an absolute bonus.
