Le grau du roi is a beautiful compact fishing port. It is located along a bar and cafe canal like estuary. The good: Flamingos! Miles of beaches. Great places to go walking. Amigoland, though expensive, is fun for kids of all ages - even those in their forties. You can rent motorboats and jetskis in town. For connections, its not far from Montpellier or Marseille. The bad: Restaurants are poor in LGdR. From French to Italian to Asian they all disappointed. I am used to staying in 5 star hotels and whilst I knew this was far from 5 stars, I was disappointed to find plastic sheets on the beds. there‘s a lot of things to do like go shopping or eat there, bathe, go to the amigoland and accept your death (-> adrenalin), go to the „plage de l‘espiguette“ but we wouldn‘t recommend walking if you’re not dangerously suicidal, since the heat will burn you alive in the 2h you need to get there - rather borrow a bike and ride it together.Guest review byLuana - 10.0

A very pleasant Meditteranean resort, plus the inhabitants are friendly and welcoming. Access and parking are easy. Not sure about the food. It's good, if not inspiring. It benefits from a balcony and a bath (the only ones on our road trip and therefore much appreciated 😁)! Karine was very helpful and endeavoured to make sure our stay was pleasant.
