It can be a little hard to get your bearings in Limoges as...
It can be a little hard to get your bearings in Limoges as the city is not flat and everything can feel a little scattered about (the city hall is miles away from the cathedral and the porcelain museum is yet again miles away from both). However, don't let that put you off visiting both the fine arts museum next to the cathedral as well as the porcelain museum (Musee Adrien Dubouche). The latter was extended and refurbished just a couple of years ago and the result is amazing with great technical insight into making pottery in general , the history of the local industry and a vast collection spanning almost every conceivable example. The porcelain museum a 15 min walk) and the design of the apartment which felt more like a boutique hotel than a self-catering holiday rental. We could park just round the corner (and for free because of a temporary archeological dig) but if that is not an option, there's an underground car park under the food halls.
