Lovely buildings and courtyard. Very quiet in beautiful countryside. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant was good. Breakfast in the morning in the courtyard was great. Good stopover on our way from Marseille to Joudes. All good.

Well located and in a nice quiet setting. The bedroom and breakfast room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was very good, bedrooms comfortable and we enjoyed a nice dinner on the terrace.

    Montoison is situated in a beautiful area with Valence being the nearest main town. We got picked up by a family friend as there are no trains to Montoison. There is a bus service or you can get a taxi.The houses have shutters and the countryside round about is rural with wild flower meadows and crops of various fruit and vegetables lining the roads. We visited an old castle a Grotto with waterfall and a market where we tasted some exotic food. We didn't eat out other than getting a takeaway from a local Kebab shop and market food for a picnic. My sister enjoyed a 5km run in the early morning. There is a forest on the outskirts of Montoison to enjoy walks and a park in Valence with a pond that has ducks. Activities in the area include cycling,horse riding,
